Shiqi Luo

A prominent contemporary classical solo violinist and chamber musician, she isactive on music stages around the world. Her expressive performances andastonishing skills have captivated audiences. In 2023, she established the SunwayMusic Foundation, aiming to discover and nurture future young musicians,advocate cutting-edge music education, and cultivate young audiences through livemusic experiences.

In 2018, she was invited to perform at the France MusicAlp International AcademyMusic Festival and the Beijing International Music Festival. In the same year, sheperformed at the United Nations Health Industry Summit. In the same year, as arising star of classical music in Ningbo, she performed at the "Going Home"concert. In 2020, in the Columbia University Concert Hall, she will perform incooperation with the famous vocalist Ruston Ropac - "Solo and Thinking" Thecontemporary soprano violin work "Two Poems of Li Bai" by the young composerLou Keyin. In 2022, at the invitation of Bright Bee Academy, hold a MidsummerNight's Dream concert for children in New Jersey, and perform at the Mid-AutumnFestival concert. In cooperation with the Lincoln Center American Asian CulturalSymphony Orchestra, in October, she was invited by the American Association ofClassical Musicians and Artists to perform Mozart's Fifth Violin Concerto. In April2023, she was invited again by the American Association of Classical Musicians toperform Beethoven's Fifth Violin Sonata, Spring. In September and November ofthe same year, she will be invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. And it is planned tostart a world tour concert at 2024. And plan to hold a personal concert in CarnegieHall in the fall of 2024.

Shiqi commenced her violin studies at the tender age of four and later enrolled inthe Primary School Attached to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and theSecondary Professional Music School. Under the tutelage of esteemed violinist andeducator Professor Lina Yu, Shiqi flourished as a young musician. At just 11 yearsold, she performed the iconic "Butterfly Lovers" at the Shanghai Grand Theateralongside distinguished violinists such as Yu Lina, Wang Zhijiong, and HuangMengla. Throughout her education, Shiqi received numerous accolades, includingthe People's Scholarship and the Tang Scholarship. Her live recording of Grieg'sViolin Sonata No. 3 was featured in the 50th-anniversary album of the ShanghaiConservatory of Music, and she frequently performed at the Shanghai WeeklyRadio Concert in the Shanghai Concert Hall. In 2014, Shiqi's exceptional talentearned her a scholarship to study at the Manhattan Conservatory of Music in NewYork City, where she trained under contemporary violin virtuosos Professor LucieRobert and Professor Malkin Iscca. In 2021, she graduated with a Master's Degreein Classical Violin Performance and a Certificate of Professional Studies from theManhattan School of Music.

In 2022, she collaborated with the esteemed Paulus Hook Music Foundation,becoming a concert soloist and educator for the children's music enlightenmentprogram. As a first violinist, she also contributed her talent to the American AsianCulture Symphony Orchestra.
