Ricky Feng Nan

Born in Wuhan and raised in Guangzhou, China,Ricky Feng Nanhas quicklybecome one of the most dynamic, versatile, and promising singing actors of hisgeneration. He is most well known for his appearance on the sensational Chinese singingreality TV showsSuper Vocal（声入人心）andCity of Musicals（爱乐之都)whichhe gained major public attention and popularity with his excellent performances andcharismatic stage presence.

In recent years, Ricky has been a frequent guest artist for various nationaltelevised TV shows and gala performances in China. His performance of “SeriousClassical Suite”(正经组曲)on CCTV-1 (China Central Television)2022 Chinese NewYear Web Gala has received over 15 millions views world-wide. In the same year, Rickywas also invited to perform at the 2022 Beijing Model Award Ceremony on Beijing Radio& Television station. Ricky’sinterpretation of “Belle”and “Lune” from the musicalNotreDame de Parisperformed on the TV showThe City of Musicals（爱乐之都）made himone of the most in-demand singing actors in China. Also broadcasted on National TVwere Nan’s performances in concertsBeijing Great Wall ConcertandLiyang Ricefield Concert.Ricky also enjoys performing with his long-time operatic idol and mentor,Yijie Shi, which he shared the stage with on a national tour of recitals performing ariasfrom Mozart and Verdi operas.

Throughout Ricky’s career, he has performed with premier ensembles worldwideincluding China Opera Theatre Orchestra, Tianjin OperaOrchestra, Shenzhen GrandTheatre Philharmonic Orchestra, Suzhou Philharmonic, Guangzhou Philharmonic, TheOrchestra Now, Central City Opera, Opera Theatre of Connecticut and Tri-Cities Opera.A career highlight so far was Ricky’s debut atCarnegie Hallas the soloist of asymphonic cantataMen of Iron and the Golden Spikeby composer Zhou Long in2019.

Some of Ricky’s operatic and musical theater roles include the title role of theoperaMarco Polo,Rinuccio inGiannis Schicchi,Young Gypsy inAleko,Belfiore inLafinta giardinera,Lu JiaChuan inSong of the Youth,Martin inThe Tender Land, andFrederic inThePirates of Penzance.Ricky made his debut at Tri-Cities Opera’sproductionSpeed Dating Tonightin 2014, and he is also grateful for his experienceparticipating in the young artist programs of iSing! International Young ArtistFestival(2019), Central City Opera (2017) and Miami Music Festival (2016).

Ricky received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New Yorkat Binghamton, and completed two masters degrees in performance from NorthwesternUniversity and Yale University.
